Life of Bangaloreans
Hi All, This article is to give a brief outline of what is The LifeStyle in Bangalore.let us get started.
History of Bangalore
I am not new to Bangalore but I have seen it from my childhood because I’m from its neighbor city Ramanagar which was Bangalore rural before. The way Bangalore has grown from the past three decades is way beyond one can think. It is also called Silicon Valley of India where Bangalore is well known for its software Industries existence which is nothing but Information Technology.
Also, it is the oldest city that has a history of 500 years and the city is built by Nadaprabhu Kempegowda also it’s well-known for its weather which was used to be summer retreat place for Tippu sultan which is mentioned in the history.
Okay, let’s come back to our topic, in Bangalore we can see an employee getting the salary of rupees 5000 monthly to 5 lakhs the level of diversity it has and it has given place for all. Bangalore is a place once if they enter they don’t feel like going back to their place such a beautiful city it is.
What is the Lifestyle in Bangalore?
The Lifestyle in Bangalore always depends on their financial condition. Let us go from daily wagers or pushcart people or footpath sellers. These people expenditure depends on their daily income. Which will be in terms of hundreds starts from one to ten with this money only they have to balance their life or family which they do. Their life is quite good because they earn for the day and they spend it on the day but during any financial emergencies, they face a very difficult problem.
When it comes to small scale and medium scale business people their financial condition will be good so they can lead a life which they desire but not to a larger extent. Also, their children can have a good exposure to things in Bangalore might be related to education or anything. And when it comes to rich people their life is different. They might enjoy life but still, emotional stability might lack.
TECH CITY AND BANGALORE LIFE
As we know Bangalore is the IT hub of India. The city improved a lot after the migration of software industries. Also, people use to say if you through a stone on ten member’s five will be software guys to that extent the city is famous for software industry and when it comes to lifestyle of those techies weekly five days of working and the weekend is a rest routine which they can enjoy in their own way also the Bangalore is well known for nightlife nothing but pubs and bars without gender discrimination. As we know techies earn quite well compared to any other profession and also they spend money in the same way to enjoy the varieties of Bangalore I can say.
When it comes to The Lifestyle in Bangalore, The malls are gateways for the weekend for almost everyone who earns well because it is quite costly compared to any other place but for one time visit or for movies everyone can afford. And the ambiance of the malls, diversity of the products we can get over there is good. Many colleges going students also prefer to spend their weekends in malls.
BANGALORE LIFESTYLE WITH DIFFERENT FOODS
When it comes to food in Bangalore, We can get all varieties of different countries, states, and districts. Also, we can find food from twenty rupees to thousands depends on the place where we buy or where we go so people choose based on their interest, taste, and finance. Here we can find many types of food and there are many famous restaurants for food also like Mc Donald’s, KFC is famous for fast food. Many ice creams parlors also we can find and as we know some online food delivery applications like zomato, swiggy, food panda, uber eats, etc are associated with many hotel and restaurants in Bangalore which helps people to get food delivered to their doorstep which also changes the lifestyle of people and many people prefer visiting hotels and restaurants to feel the ambiance and freshness of food.
BANGALORE LIFESTYLE OF BACHELORS
The bachelor’s life in Bangalore is quite boring but it is much interesting because they lead the life they want their life is different than of families. If they live in paying guests means they might face some problems as they are away from their families also they might face some food-related problems except that if they find good roommates means it will be heaven for them with those friends. I spoke to many of my friends who stay in paying guest the common problem I was hearing was related to food also the quality of paying guest depends on the budget and area. When people get bored of this paying guest with their friend’s group they might rent a house where it is more comfortable than those paying guests.
TRANSPORTATION
The transportation in Bangalore has all the types from two-wheeler rent to the metro train. Let us talk about this in detail so the effect of transportation on lifestyle we can discuss here. Bangalore holds the second position in terms of two-wheelers holders in India after the New Delhi so we can imagine how the two-wheelers are flexible within the city for transportation purposes. For public transportation, we have BMTC buses. Every nook and corner of Bangalore can be reached by these BMTC buses also fare differs for AC and Non AC buses. Autos we can call it as nerves of the city wherever you want you can reach by auto at any timings. The middle class and high-class people will be having cars which are mainly for their transportation. Also the commercial transportation with the help of the internet we can see as ola, uber, vogo, drivezy, zoom, bounce, etc which are all available for rent and based on the time and distance charges varies. For fast traveling purposes within this trafficked city we can choose the metro train which goes without traffic and we can reach the destination as soon as possible.
CLIMATE
Some years ago Bangalore was well known for its weather where the effect the globalization, urbanization, pollution was less but now the scenario is changed also Bangalore was called by the name Garden city where the trees and parks in the city were more but now the number of trees is coming down due to the road extension deforestation commercial land buildings and all. So nowadays we cannot predict the weather of Bangalore it always changes also it is not according to the seasons which we know but the temperature will be around 25 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees. The weather will be nice during morning times in the afternoon it is hot again evening will be cool sometimes with rain.so the Bangaloreans should be always ready to face climate change and rain effects.
GARDEN CITY
Bangalore is also called Garden City for the presence of many gardens here. Which gives green beauty to the city. Two gigantic parks we can find in Bangalore one is Sri Chmarajendra park also known as Cubbon Park and Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Which are lungs of Bangalore we can say and it is relief, retreat place for Bangaloreans at weekends also it is a very good place for photoshoots for different purposes. When it comes to inside the city area we can find many small parks which are very useful for citizens to exercise, walk and to take rest during morning and evening times also we can find one more big park by name J P Park which is also lush green park and has small lake inside. People can spend their free time in any park and they can get relieved so these parks help in formalizing Bangaloreans lifestyle
TOURIST SPOTS
Inside the city, there are many tourism and visiting places are there those can be listed as follows
Bangalore Palace: it is a  royal residence open for events and visits which worth of doing there also it has spacious ground to conduct events
Tippu sultan summer palace: it is also a one-day visit tourist place inside the city

The pandemic destroyed 225 million jobs worldwide, but billionaires got richer, reports find (Washington Post) At least 225 million full-time jobs disappeared worldwide last year because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report published Monday by the International Labor Organization, losses four times worse than those from the global financial crisis in 2009. But the ultrarich have seen their wealth soar. According to another report released Monday, by the anti-poverty nonprofit group Oxfam, the combined wealth of the world’s 10 richest men has risen by more than $500 billion since the crisis began—enough to vaccinate the entire planet and then some, according to the organization. Both sets of findings identify rising inequity as one of the pandemic’s principal outcomes. “Job destruction has disproportionately affected low-paid and low‑skilled jobs,” which “points to the risk of an uneven recovery, leading to still greater inequality in the coming years,” the ILO found. That unevenness is already apparent: Global poverty could take 14 times longer to return to pre-pandemic levels than the recovery of the world’s wealthiest, according to Oxfam. Last year, 8.8 percent of global working hours were lost, according to the report by the ILO, a U.N. agency. It found “unprecedented disruption” among global labor markets, and that women and young people have felt the worst impact.
US virus numbers drop, but race against new strains heats up (AP) Coronavirus deaths and cases per day in the U.S. dropped markedly over the past couple of weeks but are still running at alarmingly high levels, and the effort to snuff out COVID-19 is becoming an ever more urgent race between the vaccine and the mutating virus. The government’s top infectious-disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said the improvement in numbers around the country appears to reflect a “natural peaking and then plateauing” after a holiday surge, rather than the arrival of the vaccine in mid-December. The U.S. is recording just under 3,100 deaths a day on average, down from more than 3,350 less than two weeks ago. New cases are averaging about 170,000 a day after peaking at almost 250,000 on Jan. 11. The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients has fallen to about 110,000 from a high of 132,000 on Jan. 7.
California lifts virus stay-at-home order and curfew (AP) Gov. Gavin Newsom lifted stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, a surprising move hailed by beleaguered businesses but that prompted caution from local health officials concerned the public may let down its guard. The turnaround puts California in a starkly different place than it was last month, when some Southern California hospitals overwhelmed by virus patients were crafting emergency plans for rationing care. Newsom crafted the stay-at-home order in December as coronavirus cases worsened and in anticipation of surges from holiday gatherings. He divided the state into five regions and ultimately four of them had the order imposed because their ICU capacity fellow the stat mandated 15%. Only rural far Northern California stayed above the threshold. The lifting of the stay-at-home order allows restaurants to serve diners outdoors and places of worship to offer services outside. Hair and nail salons and other businesses may reopen and retailers can have more shoppers in their stores. The state also is lifting a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew, but San Francisco is keeping it in place.
Tornado rips through Alabama, killing 1 and injuring at least 20 (Washington Post) A tornado devastated Fultondale, Ala., and other areas just north of Birmingham late Monday, killing at least one person, injuring another 20 and causing significant damage for miles. The storm touched down at around 10:40 p.m. in Jefferson County near Interstate 65, and a tornado soon ripped through Fultondale, a city of more than 8,000 located eight miles north of Birmingham. The tornado cut a path nearly a quarter-mile wide, severely damaging Fultondale High School and multiple businesses in a period of about 30 minutes. Debris is estimated to have carried to around 15,000 feet in the air. About 12,000 people were without power in the state early Tuesday.
Agent Orange lawsuit (Foreign Policy) A French court is to hear a case brought against a number of international companies involved in the development of the toxic chemical defoliant Agent Orange during the Vietnam war, with possible implications for the United States. The case was brought by Tran To Nga, a 78-year-old French-Vietnamese woman, who alleges that the companies—which include Monsanto and Dow Chemical—played down the herbicide’s toxicity and misled the U.S. government. The companies named in the lawsuit maintain that it was the U.S. government that ultimately designed Agent Orange, leaving the firms blameless for the severe illnesses, birth defects, and other medical problems experience by those who were exposed.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to resign (Washington Post) Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is planning to resign Tuesday, in a move that extends the country’s political chaos and risks complicating the coronavirus response. Conte’s decision leaves Italy with no straightforward path to reestablishing a workable government, all while the country tries to manage the pandemic’s health crisis and a vaccine campaign that has slowed because of Pfizer-BioNTech shortages. Though Italy is known for short-timer prime ministers and regional divisions, Conte had become the face of a surprisingly top-down pandemic response, announcing lockdowns and decrees in late-night news conferences. For a while, the pandemic had created an uneasy peace among Italy’s political factions. But that broke apart this month when a former prime minister, Matteo Renzi, pulled his small party’s support for the ruling coalition. Renzi cited inadequacies in how the government was managing its economic recovery. But many pundits—as well as the majority of Italians—felt Renzi was instigating the crisis out of his personal contempt for Conte, a fellow centrist whom he views as a competitor for voter support.
New India-China Border Clash Shows Simmering Tensions (NYT) Indian and Chinese troops have clashed along their disputed Himalayan border, according to media and military reports on Monday, as Beijing quietly intensifies pressure against its southern neighbor with new incursions into territory claimed by both sides. Details about the latest skirmish remain foggy, and Indian officials played down the events. Indian media outlets and independent military analysts said that the clash happened several days ago, and that soldiers on both sides were wounded, although no fatalities were reported. Though details were scant, reports of a clash show that tensions are still simmering between the two Asian giants, which fought a war in 1962 and have been eyeing each other warily across their unresolved frontier ever since. Tensions burst into the open in June, when troops from both countries engaged in a deadly brawl along the border of the Ladakh region in northern India. No shots were fired in that battle, stemming from a tacit understanding that neither side along the tense Himalayan border should use firearms. Still, the deaths of more than 20 Indian soldiers and an unknown number of Chinese troops exposed the increasing aggressiveness of both countries, which are governed by nationalist leaders with little political incentive to back down. As many as 100,000 troops from the Indian and Chinese armies are now facing off across inhospitable mountain passes in subzero temperatures in the Ladakh region alone, military experts estimate.
Farmers back at protest camp after deep challenge to PM Modi (AP) Tens of thousands of farmers who stormed the historic Red Fort on India’s Republic Day were again camped outside the capital Wednesday after the most volatile day of their two-month standoff left one protester dead and more than 300 police officers injured. The protests demanding the repeal of new agricultural laws have grown into a rebellion that is rattling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. On Tuesday, more than 10,000 tractors and thousands more people on foot or horseback tried to advance into the capital, shoving aside barricades and buses blocking their path and at times met by police using tear gas and water cannons. Their brief takeover of the 17th-century fort, which was the palace of Mughal emperors, played out live Indian news channels. The farmers, some carrying ceremonial swords, ropes and sticks, overwhelmed police. In a profoundly symbolic challenge to Modi’s Hindu-nationalist government, the protesters who stormed Red Fort hoisted a Sikh religious flag. “The situation is normal now. The protesters have left the streets of the capital,″ New Delhi police officer Anto Alphonse said Wednesday morning.
China to conduct South China Sea drills (Foreign Policy) China is to conduct military exercises in the South China Sea this week in what appears to be partly in response to a U.S. carrier group entering the area on Saturday. On Monday, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian admonished the U.S. government, saying the U.S. operations were merely to “flex its muscles.” “This is not conducive to peace and stability in the region,” Zhao added.
New Zealand’s borders may stay shut for most of the year, PM Ardern says (Reuters) New Zealand’s borders will remain closed for most of this year as the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, but the country will pursue travel arrangements with neighbouring Australia and other Pacific nations, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Tuesday. “Given the risks in the world around us and the uncertainty of the global rollout of the vaccine, we can expect our borders to be impacted for much of this year,” Ardern said at a news conference. For travel to restart, authorities either needed confidence that those vaccinated don’t pass COVID-19 on to others, which is not yet known, or enough of the population needed to be vaccinated so people can safely re-enter New Zealand. But both possibilities will take some time, she said. “In the meantime, we will continue to pursue travel bubbles with Australia and the Pacific, but the rest of the world simply poses too great a risk to our health and our economy to take the risk at this stage.”
Student-run free grocery store helps feed town’s hungry (AP) Traditional school stores might offer snacks and knickknacks, school gear and notebooks—but the one at Linda Tutt High School in Sanger, Texas, has a very different inventory and clientele. At Linda Tutt you can get everything from produce, milk and eggs to pasta, peanut butter and canned goods to dishwasher soap and laundry detergent. Students and staff can shop there, but on Tuesdays the store is open to the community. And it’s all free. “I like seeing their smiles, seeing how appreciative they are, and knowing that they are thankful that we’re doing something like this,” said Hunter Weertman, a 16-year-old junior who stocks shelves and takes inventory at the store housed in an unused art room. It has been open since November. The idea is to provide students with job skills, and at the same time help students, staff and local residents who are in need. And the store has one more purpose: teaching the youngsters the value of giving back to their community. “I’ve really seen the students take pride in working in the store,” principal Anthony Love said. “They’re excited about coming to school. They’re excited about helping in the grocery store and just being a part of it.”

Prime Minister Modi is a year into his second term. He’s still the only game in town for India
During his campaign, Modi faced questions about India’s mixed economic performance in the previous five years, but he won over voters with promises to shore up national security and by pushing a Hindu nationalist agenda.
In the past six months, he’s faced two significant challenges: nationwide protests over a controversial citizenship law, which led to violent attacks on Muslims, and the threat of thousands of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic.
His handling of the latter has earned praised at home and abroad. But the biggest test is arguably to come — reopening the country while keeping its 1.3 billion people safe.
Element of surprise: a Modi hallmark
At 8 p.m. on March 24, Modi gave just four hours’ notice of a nationwide coronavirus lockdown, sending millions of people scrambling for groceries, medicines and other essentials.
Perhaps worst affected were the millions of migrant workers who travel from rural areas to work in cities each year. In the lockdown, work suddenly dried up, leaving many of them stranded without pay. Many were forced to walk vast distances due to the public transport shutdown — and not all of them made it.
Modi’s sudden decision — accompanied by poor planning and execution — left local administrations confused over what was and wasn’t allowed, such as exemptions for online grocery deliveries amid the halt on all e-commerce operations.
“This is a part of his governing style and it can work during normal times but it’s not a good way to operate in a time of crisis where you throw surprises at 1.3 billion people,” said Vivek Dehejia, a professor of economics at Carleton University in Ottawa.
This, of course, was not the first time Modi has made a snap announcement. On November 8, 2016, Modi declared 500 rupee ($7.50) and 1,000 rupee ($15) notes worthless, which made up about 86% of the cash in circulation, in a bid to switch the country to digital payments to stop corruption and tax evasion.
“In each case, there was a four-hour window for people to react and absolute pandemonium broke out,” said Dehejia.
The result was massive lines at banks, change was nearly impossible to find, and some businesses resorted to barter, with India’s poor and most vulnerable bearing the biggest impact. People in remote places missed the window to exchange years’ worth of savings in old currency notes.
“You need to think about the consequences and how this will impact millions of people,” said Meghnad S, an associate editor for Newslaundry, an independent online news outlet.
Distracting from the economy
“Good days are coming,” was Modi’s campaign slogan, as he secured his first term in 2014 on the back of grand plans for the country’s economy.
But the lacklustre figures had little bearing on the 2019 election results, which saw Modi return to power with a bigger mandate.
India’s unemployment rate hit 8.75% in March, up from 7.03% in May last year — and is even higher after the coronavirus shutdown.
Furthermore, during his term, his government has committed funds to vanity projects, such as the world’s tallest statue or bullet trains, when priorities such as healthcare, infrastructure and sanitation persist.
And with the economic destruction wreaked by the pandemic things are unlikely to improve.
As the country nears the end of a near 10-week lockdown, as of Friday, India had more than 165,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and more than 4,700 deaths.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In his last national address on May 12, Modi announced an additional financial package to help the economy.
The new stimulus package, along with previous measures taken by the Indian government, would account for about $266 billion, which is around 10% of the country’s GDP, according to Modi.
His government later said this would include $40 billion to help small businesses affected by the outbreak, $20 billion to strengthen the agricultural industry and $5 billion for migrant workers and small-scale farmers.
Furthemore, for many Modi’s demonetization strategy built a narrative that he is a strongman who took on black money, and therefore has taken successful economic action.
“Despite the amount of pain caused, a lot of people still love the fact he did something like that,” says Vivek Kaul, an economic commentator and author. “If the idea was to get black money out, there are lots of ways to do that, but that would have involved a lot of work.”
Promoting Brand India
Modi is renowned as a master of public relations.
He’s become known for his bear hug-embraces of world leaders, while his slogan “Make in India” signaled his intention to rebrand the country as the world’s next manufacturing hub. In February, he packed the world’s largest cricket stadium for a rousing welcome rally for the US President Donald Trump, taglined “Namaste Trump.”
Modi’s flair for PR has been evident during the pandemic, with India promoting its role as a global leader in pharmaceuticals.
A number of world leaders lined up to thank India for its work supplying generic drugs like hydroxychloroquine to meet a rise in demand during the pandemic — including President Trump.
“Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation between friends. Thank you India and the Indian people for the decision on HCQ. Will not be forgotten!” Trump tweeted.
Modi responded: “Times like these bring friends closer. The India-US partnership is stronger than ever … We shall win this together.” Medical journal The Lancet has since reported that Covid-19 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine are more likely to die or develop dangerous irregular heart rhythms.
Modi also heavily promoted the country’s decision to fly 20,000 citizens home from foreign countries during the pandemic. According to Meghnad, from Newslaundry, it was an example of Modi’s external PR efforts to present India’s success to the world — internal migrants’ troubles during the lockdown received much less attention.
Dehejia believes there is “a huge cognitive gap between the rhetoric and the reality” of Modi’s vision of India as a growing economy and an important player in international affairs, after recent events dented the country’s soft power and image as a vibrant democracy.
“This was well before the (coronavirus) crisis when anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) protests were taking off. That was not good for India’s brand as a liberal democracy. The migrant crisis has further damaged the brand,” says Dehejia.
Marginalizing Muslims
Modi has not been shy about his pro-Hindu religious policies and has lived up to pledges made on the campaign trail.
Last August, he made the surprise decision to scrap a constitutional provision that granted Jammu and Kashmir relative autonomy, which sent the region into turmoil and saw tens of thousands of new troops deployed.
Then in November, his government granted Hindus permission to build a temple at the centuries-old Ayodhya holy site, previously claimed by Hindus and Muslims. The next month, India passed a bill to give Indian citizenship to immigrants from three neighboring countries — but not if they are Muslim.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pandemic has provided more opportunity to marginalize Muslims, after a March gathering in New Delhi of the Tablighi Jamaat, a conservative Muslim missionary group, resulted in a large cluster of cases.
Reports of Islamophobic attacks, both online and on the streets, began to surface, with Muslims being accused of spreading the virus.
Some members of his ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) began comparing the incident to terrorism.
On Twitter, the head of the BJP’s information and technology unit, Amit Malviya, called the gathering part of an “Islamic insurrection” while Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the BJP’s Minister for Minority Affairs accused the event organizers of a “Talibani crime.”
Like previous incidents, most recently seen in February when violent communal clashes broke out in the capital New Delhi, the government failed to take stringent action.
“Modi did put out a tweet on harmony but it felt like an afterthought. There’s a lack of communication and it’s more obvious because otherwise he tweets about everything under the sun,” said Meghnad, from Newslaundry.
“Obviously, they (Tablighi Jamaat) are at fault and action should be taken but to paint an entire community and the conflation of the actions of a few is ridiculous. The government should actively come out but they let it turn into the monster that it did,” he added.
Priorities on spending
While Modi’s government has announced $266 billion in relief packages during the pandemic, Dehejia, from Carleton University, points out that much of what was announced in a week-long series of press conferences by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had already been committed.
“Part of the Modi government brand has been to make these big announcements over things that they’ve already been doing or what previous governments have done and brand it as a new package … The amount of new money committed is essentially quite small,” he said.
Sitharaman’s penultimate press conference highlighting reforms to sectors such as mining, defense and the country’s space program raised eyebrows over the relevance of the announcement during the current situation.
“Tone-deaf is the only charitable explanation,” said Dehejia. Many felt more should have been invested in the country’s creaking healthcare infrastructure, which has been an issue regardless of the party in power.
According to the World Bank, in 2017, India allocated around 3.5% of its GDP towards health. This compares to the United States, which spent 17% of its GDP on healthcare and poorer nations such as Sierra Leone and Afghanistan, which set aside 13.4% and 12% respectively in the same year.
Looking ahead, spending wisely and investing in the right parts of the economy will be crucial — though experts say Modi has such a strong mandate that he’s essentially free to do what he wants.
And India’s next election isn’t due until 2024.
The bigger issue is the lack of credible opposition. The 2019 election dealt a sharp blow to the India’s main opposition Congress party, which won just 52 seats compared to the BJP’s 303. To win, a party needs 272 elected seats out of 543.
The result marked the Congress party’s second-worst showing ever in a general election.
“A crisis of any kind greatly empowers the incumbent. Whether it’s Trump’s nightly news conferences or Boris Johnson’s or Modi’s announcements, that’s what’s visible to the public and opposition parties struggle to make an impact or appear on the evening news,” said Dehejia.
“What is the credible alternative at the national level? Modi’s the only game in town for India.”

Nitin Gadkari's ambitious 5-year roadmap
The minister said that the priority for him will be "rolling out all stuck highway projects that include many of the IL&FS projects within 100 days".
Tumblr media
A go getter in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet, Union Minister Nitin Jairam Gadkari in his second innings has lined up big plans -- from infusing Rs 15 lakh crore in highways to propelling GDP growth by globalising khadi and MSME products.
After taking charge of Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) ministry, Gadkari in his first interview to PTI, said the mission ahead was to further propel country's economic growth through concerted efforts be it in highways or MSME.
"The blue print for highways is already in place.
“We plan to take up work worth at least Rs 15 lakh crore in highways that includes building 22 green expressways, rolling out all stuck projects in the next 100 days and creating a 'grid of roads' at par with power grid," Gadkari told PTI in an interview on Wednesday.
The minister said during his previous tenure, his ministries -- Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, Ganga Rejuvenation and River development -- in a cumulative basis, had seen a spend of Rs 17 lakh crore that included Rs 11 lakh crore in highways sector alone.
Referring to the momentous victory of Bharatiya Janata Party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gadkari said the resounding mandate by the people rising above petty party-politics, caste-creed or communalism has reaffirmed that people need "development" which will remain a priority area.
Through demonetisation, the message has gone clear to the people that Modi-led government is against corruption and blackmoney and all initiatives whether welfare schemes, houses, gas, electricity or health insurance have benefitted the poor, he said.
The minister said that the priority for him will be "rolling out all stuck highway projects that include many of the IL&FS projects within 100 days".
"I reviewed projects yesterday and found out about 225 projects were pending for financial closure etc, which has been resolved and now only about 20-25 projects are left.
“This is a priority area and the pending projects will be zero within 100 days," the minister said.
He said credit goes to his Ministry for saving Indian banks a whopping sum of over Rs 3 lakh crore from turning NPAs during his earlier tenure, as there were 403 stuck projects when he had taken charge in 2014.
"The bidders were shying away from highways projects... Highways sector had collapsed... Now that it has been brought on track the aim is to further strengthen this.
"Around 13 out of 17 highways stretches in the border areas that will double up as air strips are nearing completion.
“Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be completed in the next two months and work is in full swing on the new Delhi-Mumbai expressway," the minister said.
Gadkari said he was "satisfied" with the work done in highways in the last five years with "no instance of corruption" and added that the roadmap ahead was to take the highway building target to 40 km a day as it was nearing 32 km per day now.
Despite a huge Rs 11 lakh crore work done by the ministry, "not a single penny was involved in corruption", as the tender and all award processes were placed online, he said.
Gadkari said, task ahead was minimising accidents and in addition to about 704 black spots another 8,000 have been identified and will be rectified soon.
The ministry is also striving to get the entire toll income which at present goes to the government kitty, so that it could be pumped in highway building, he said.
Build, operate and toll (BOT) mode of highways building was being revived and projects worth 3,000 km would be bid out.
The minister said, there was significant development in the Kailash Mansarovar route through Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand which is likely to be completed early next year.
Besides, Chardham project linking Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri will be completed by the year-end as all green clearances were in place, he said.
About his new Ministry MSME, the senior BJP leader said his endeavour would be to globalise MSME and Khadi products through joint ventures and he was specially keen on mass-scale honey production besides promoting products like Moringa which are globally much in demand.
The focus will be rural areas, and forming clusters of potters, people dependent on leather industries and giving them assistance with new technology aimed at promoting export of these products, he said.
Citing the example of coir, he said small scale industries will be promoted, and noted that the plan is to make coir industry a Rs 20,000 crore economy from the present Rs 10,000 crore.
"I am confident that these are going to create huge employment and propel GDP growth which will apparently be visible in next two to three years," he said.
Khadi will be another thriving area, he said.
Gadkari is known for his penchant for out of box solutions to economic governance issues and the allotment of the MSME to him is significant in view of its potential not yet being realised.
MSMEs contributes around 45 per cent in the country's exports, about 25 per cent to the GDP from service activities and over 33 per cent to the manufacturing output of India.

Farmhouses Vs CityHouses
http://www.alaskafarm.co.in/
Tumblr media
Modern Farmhouses vs City Houses
A delicate combination of comfort and style, Modern Farmhouses intertwine luxurious conveniences along with the familiarity and natural elements of the farmhouse style. One of the biggest differences between a city house and a Modern Farmhouse is location. Modern Farmhouses can be found anywhere from the country to the city while city  homes are usually found in rural or suburban areas.
Farmhouse style homes have been around for decades and thanks to the growing desire to get back to the basics of life, the farmhouse style is now considered one of the most popular styles of houses and decor. There is also an emerging popular style that combines the unique design details and conveniences of contemporary homes with the familiarity and simplicity of a vintage farmhouse. The Modern Farmhouse style is a fairly new house design that is becoming increasingly popular in Noida.  Bringing a touch of class and uniqueness, this style is a lovely combination of striking and comforting. These two styles of homes have many similarities and unique differences.
Common characteristics of Modern Farmhouses include:
 Light colored exterior, usually white
Black trim on exterior
Sleek lines
Open floor plans
Rectangular in shape
Large windows
More 2 stories than 1
Large square footage
Porches and/or decks
Pitched gable roof, often with dormers
Bold, clean design details like metal lights
While City House and Modern Farmhouse homes have lots of similarities, these two styles create a very different look and feel, giving comfort and simplicity to some and a bolder, more unique feel for others.
The City Houses have a polluted environment and many people suffer from respiratory diseases and are forced to live in that environment also the air pollution in the city is  the root cause of many other diseases whereas farmhouse are located in the lap of nature with fresh air.
On the other hand the city people are surrounded by Noise Pollution from everywhere which also causes serious effects on theirs health. It equally affects rich and poor, due to increasing no of vehicles ,loudspeakers and noise of the machines in industrial institutions ,people are becoming vulnerable to mental stress and infection of the respiratory tract. That is the main reason why people have started migrating towards the outskirts of the city in order to find a peaceful and healthy lifestyle and enjoy the nature to its fullest.
Longer life
On the other hand people are moving towards the outskirts of the city away from the hustle and bustle of the city to live a healthy life and give their children a better environment to grow.
According to David Newby, British Heart Foundation professor of cardiology at the University of Edinburgh, when it comes to air pollution, "being on the outskirts is better for you".
That is because living away from busy roads reduces the risk of damage to the lungs and heart from fine particles and gases emitted by traffic and makes you feel comfortable area to live in free from any mental stress and free from any physical disorder.
While buses, high-rise buildings and stop-go traffic are known to increase the risk of exposure to pollution, Prof Newby says you do not have to move far to reduce the health risk as mordern farmhouses are there for you where you can live hustle free in the lap of nature .
IF YOU WANT POLLUTION FREE LIFE SO COME  ALASKA GREEN FARM. WE PROVIDE YOU  LAVISH LUXURY HOUSES WITH GREENERY NATURE.
ALASKA GREEN FARM HOUSES brings you lavish and beautiful farmhouses situated near the Noida Expressway with some unique benefits and aspects of high desert living.
Enjoying the weather, listening to birdsong and catching a vestige of freshly cut grass, the sounds and smells of nature are enhanced in the countryside and they force you to take notice and live in the moment. Everyone dreams of living such a luxurious and soothing life. Every person works hard to achieve such dreams of experiencing the beauty of nature. A dream of reading your favorite book with sweet music playing around while you’re this warm cup of tea under an open shiny blue sky and greenery all around you. Such dreams can be fulfilled by smartly investing in the right deal. Money invested in such deals will prove to be a better asset for the lifetime as compared to others such as investing in small plots in the city.
The peace around these farmhouses helps to bring the hectic life to a gentle halt and remind them not to rush life away. Availing the beauty of farmhouses with sprawling party lawns, swimming pool, clubhouse, cricket ground, and jogging track with roadside plantations individually fenced. 24x7 Security and Maintenance staff and services like water harvesting system and government electricity readily facilitated. Many other services and amenities are available to give a perfect feel of long-time belongingness with the land. Why Student Housing is Gaining Ground in India
Tumblr media
More and more people are moving to big cities for education and jobs. While that’s been happening for a while, what’s changed now is that a growing number of companies are now trying to tap into the needs of new migrants, especially millennials. In the last few years, besides traditional forms of rented accommodations like hostels, paying guests and shared apartments, organized accommodations such as co-living and student living have come into existence, and these organized offerings come with better services and facilities. In fact, many companies are now especially focusing on the needs of migrant students and offering student living exclusively. For instance, on 6 June 2019, Stanza Living, a student housing company which provides accommodation facilities especially to students forayed into seven new cities— Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, Baroda, Pune and Dehradun.

With this, the company has reached a national inventory of 22,000 beds across 10 cities. However, Stanza Living is not the only one offering services in this segment. While Stanza Living started operations in 2017, PLACIO, another student housing management company, was established in 2016 and has a presence in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Lucknow and Indore. Oyo, one of India’s largest hospitality company, also announced recently that it will be entering the student housing segment soon. (To read more about OYO’s plan, click here). OYO has already launched Oyo Life, a long-term rental housing business targeting young professionals, millennials and students. Need for student housing India is a developing nation and opportunities in urban areas for employment, education, and better lifestyle have been the pull factors for small-city and rural populace. The first challenge this migrant population faces is finding proper accommodation, and students top the list . According to a survey by property consultant firm Knight Frank, Global Student Property Report 2019, released on 7 June, “India has the youngest population in the world, with some 18% of the 1.3 billion-strong population aged between 15 and 24. More than 34 million students are currently enrolled in courses at universities across the country, and this figure is expected to rise." Further, as per the survey, “the current demand for purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) bed spaces across the country is estimated to total more than 8 million." The market for student housing in India may still be at a nascent stage but there are a number of factors that are expected to drive growth in this segment in the coming years. One of the primary reasons for this is that few institutions or colleges in India provide sufficient accommodation facility to students. “Only 20% of the current demand is met by university-operated supply. This is despite a survey undertaken by the Indian Human Resource Department which indicates that the majority of students would prefer on-campus accommodation. Existing capacity is limited and new development has ultimately not kept pace with the growth in enrolment," according to the Knight Frank report. Besides, a large number of students come to metros to prepare for entrance exams, civil services, corporate jobs and so on. This segment has no option but to stay in private hostels and lodges. According to the Knight Frank survey, “the majority of this accommodation is operated outside of university control by private owners. Often it is off-campus, of poor quality and with little modern value-add facilities such as WiFi or laundry services." Some students also live as paying guests (PG) or in shared apartments, but finding a decent PG or a flat mate could be a daunting task. Cost and returns Organized students’ accommodations charge as much as or a little more than what you will pay for private hostels or lodges, in most cities. For instance, the cost of one bed in a private girls’ hostel in South Delhi is about ₹18,000-20,000 per month, including meals, whereas Stanza Living is offering one bed at the rate starting ₹11,500 per month (without meals) around south campus, Delhi.

Charges also differ based on the city and location within a city. For instance, Oxfordcaps.com, a student housing portal, offers one bed for girl students, starting at the rate of ₹8,199 per month, near Reva University that’s situated on the outskirts of Bengaluru, but charges minimum ₹14,000 per month near M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, which is in the heart of the city. Besides catering to the needs of students, this segment is also expected to generate higher returns for investors. According to a 2018 report by JLL, a real estate consultant firm, “student housing has the potential to yield more than 12% returns vis-a-vis the core commercial sector in which returns remain range-bound between 7% and 10%. Further, this sector is expected to grow at 38% CAGR until 2020, to ₹2,400 crore." As of now, there are only about 20-odd organized firms in the student housing space. Though the facilities they provide are far superior than what other options offer, it may still take a few years for the space to come up in a big way. Source: livemint Read the full article
